My name is Shauna Thibault and I am excited to join Sommer, the Barberess, in her delightful shop on 441 North Beach Road, Eastsound.
My passion is to let your natural beauty shine through with precision cuts and artful color application. As a painter, color theory is second nature to me and I formulate the perfect tone for each of my clients. I believe that your look should not monopolize your daily routine, so wake-up-and-go hair with seamless grow-out is my specialty. A little more about me: I have been working as a stylist for 18 years in Phoenix and opened the Mercantile Salon and Vintage Boutique in 2008. Additionally, I offer hair, makeup, and wardrobe styling for commercial photo and video productions as well as weddings and other milestone events. After years of growing a clientele, building a business, and training other stylists in the city, I was ready for a change. My father lived on Orcas and the island has always had a special place in my heart so I began the transition in 2017. Moving from in-home hair appointments for the past two years, I am thrilled to have a place in a centrally located salon to call home.
On a personal note: I am rehabilitating an old pole barn off LaPort road with my partner Mike - I may have met some of you at my epic shop sale last year. We currently have a cat and are looking forward to getting a dog (don’t tell the cat). I love cooking, camping, and any travel adventure.
